Two weeks ago myself and a group of friends decided to do something spontaneous and travelled three hours north of Brisbane to my favourite 'local' camping spot - Inskip Point. I'm in love with this place; the camping ground is literally 10 meters from the coast line and you can hear the waves crashing all day long. This place is my idea of paradise and I think you'd agree after going here.
If you'd like to stay here for yourself you will have to book a permit to stay at the campsite for a huuuuge $6 a night per person which you can get from HERE after creating an account.
By far my favourite time here is when the sun goes down, the stars are literally countless. There is no where else on Earth where I have ever been able to see that many stars in the sky, it's just spectacular
Then after spending a night under the stars around a fire creating memories with friends you can wake up before the new day stars and experience one of the craziest sunrises you will ever see at Carlo Sandblow. Unfortunately, it was pretty overcast when we went to Inskip Point, but it's by no means any less spectacular to see.
This is also another shot of Carlo Sandblow that I took of a friend during the same sunrise during a short sunburst. Carlo Sandblow is a huge sand dune that looks directly over the ocean for an uninterrupted view of the sunrise.
Then after sunrise you can laze around on the beach, catch the short 10 minute ferry over to Fraser Island where there are dingo's and pristine blue lakes, grab a coffee down in Rainbow Beach and then you can end your day watching the sunset.
If you've ever been here or want to, let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear from you.
Until next post, stay safe but not too safe,
